MEAL CALCULATOR
How much should your dog actually be eating?
A guide, not gospel. Your dog's body condition is always the best indicator - and your vet knows them best.
The Calculator
Pop in a few details and we'll work out your dog's daily amount - and which Nala's pack sizes suit them best.

Tips for transitioning to Nala's
Days 1–2: Serve 25% Nala's, 75% current food. Let your dog's gut adjust slowly.
Days 3–4: 50/50 split. Watch for any loose stools — totally normal, usually settles quickly.
Days 5–6: 75% Nala's, 25% old food. Most dogs are fine to go all in from here.
Day 7+: Full Nala's. If your dog's been a bit fussy, try warming the meal slightly — the smell does the work.
What this calculator doesn't account for
- Breed-specific metabolism — some breeds run hot or cold compared to average
- Health conditions, weight management goals, or prescription diets
- Pregnancy, nursing, or growth spurts in young dogs
- Individual appetite — use your dog's body condition as the real guide
When to loop in your vet
The calculator is a starting point - but some dogs need more specific guidance. Talk to your vet before switching food if your dog:
Has a diagnosed health condition or is on medication
Is pregnant, nursing, or has recently given birth
Is significantly overweight or underweight
Has known food allergies or a sensitive gut
Is showing any unusual symptoms after switching food
We're not vets - but we're always happy to share exactly what goes into every meal so you can pass it on to yours.
